Esse livro é incrível. É um livro que apesar de 301 páginas — e por ser em inglês — acabei lendo em um dia. Esse livro eu requisitei um e-ARC em Junho do ano passado, 2011, pelo NetGalley — eles disponibilizam vários livros online para você ler, claro que são em inglês, qualquer dúvida leia o meu post sobre Você conhece o NetGalley? —, e só agora decidi postar a review aqui no blog.

The Dead Kid Detective Agency conta a história de October Schwartz que acaba de se mudar para Sticksville e ela passa a maior parte do seu tempo no Sticksville Cemitery. Lá ela acaba fazendo amizade com o fantasma de 5 adolescentes e juntos decidem criar o The Dead Kid Detective Agency - uma agência de detetives que o fazem descobrir os mistérios que rondam Sticksville.

A história por si só é super criativa, há passagens super engraçadas e uma escrita super encantadora que só livros desse gênero podem proporcionar aos leitores. Imagine alguns fantasmas pesquisando evidências da morte de alguém, imaginou? É dessa forma que somos inseridos na história, tudo é tão bem construído, algumas passagens que faz você pensar "Isso é irônico" ou "Isso passou dos limites", mas é exatamente isso que nos faz gostar ainda mais do livro.

Este livro é super recomendado para quem gosta de infanto-juvenil. Gosto da temática fantasmas e para quem leu minha review de Nas Sombras onde eu disse que só tinha lido a série A Mediadora que é dessa temática sobre fantasmas... Bem, eu estava enganada. Realmente não lembrava mais desse livro. Uma pena... :/
